Workshops at the ATTiC
Group classes and workshops is another valuable way to study the Alexander Technique. In this setting there is the addition of learning by watching the progress of other students. The questions and dialogues engendered by group work can be very enlivening to the process of making changes in yourself.

Currently Daria teaches an ongoing weekly group lunchtime class at ACAC Downtown on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:30pm. This class is available to members of ACAC and a visitor’s pass can be purchased for non-members to attend.
Alexander Technique Group Workshops take place once a month on Sundays from 11:30 to 2:30 pm at the ATTiC. Cost: $50 each workshop or $175 for the series of four.
Below are the upcoming workshops at The ATTiC:

January 27th Alexander Technique focus on ‘Oh Boy!’ Bending Bending is becoming a lost art. A hundred times a day we need to bend: to pick things up, to get into a chair, etc. You will save much energy and discomfort by taking the time to learn how to bend with efficiency. |

February 17th Alexander Technique focus on Dealing with Reaction Do you ever find your body tensing as you react to something someone said or did? This tension is part of the fight or flight mechanism. If allowed to get the best of us, we may suffer unnecessarily. Enjoy the satisfaction of being able to remain at ease under duress! |

March 16th Alexander Technique focus on Improve Your Voice For shy speakers, public speakers and singers. Our voice is like our signature; each has individual nuances that are part of our expression. Freeing unnecessary tension opens us and lets our true natural and supported voice emerge so everyone can hear it. |
